Titan 5th/6th top Raiders, move to 4-0

The Columbus Titan 5th/6th Grade Team shutout the visiting Frontenac Junior Raiders, 26-0, in a make-up game, Tuesday night at Titan Stadium. The game was originally scheduled for October 2 but was postponed by weather. The Titans move to 4-0 with two games remaining in the season.

The Columbus Area Youth Soccer League will play a full schedule of games, Saturday. The five-and-six-year-olds will begin the day at 8:45 a.m. on Field 2 and the 11 and Up squads will close out the day with a noon start on Field 5.

The Galena Lady Bulldog won the CCCJL League Tournament Championship, October 7, at the Central Junior High School New Gymnasium. Galena came into the tournament as the number third seed based on the final regular season standings.

CCCJL 8th tourney results

The CCCJ League Tournament was played October 7 in Columbus with the Riverton Lady Rams repeating as the eighth grade tournament champs.

SE Volleyball drops two on Three Rivers League night

The Lady Lancers lost two matches on a Three Rivers League Night at Cherokee, Tuesday. Yates Center won the first match, 25-22; 25-13 in straight sets and Crest took a three-set win, 25-13; 24-26; 25-21. The losses drop the Lady Lancers to a 6-16 record on the season.
Lady Titan Senior, Destiny Lima, and freshman, Mallory Thompson, secured a place in the Kansas Class 3-2-1A State Championship Golf Tournament by placing in the Class 3-2-1A Regional at Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg, Monday. The state tournament is in Hesston, Monday and Tuesday.

CNC’s St. Mary’s-Colgan, Class 3-2-1A Regional Champs

The reigning Kansas State Champion Girls Golf Team, St. Mary’s-Colgan, won the Kansas Class 3-2-1A Regional Championship on their home course at Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg, Monday. The team is poised to repeat as state champions after winning the regional by 51 strokes.
