As the Cherokee County Fair celebrated its 93rd year, a young man celebrated his twelfth and final year of competition. The Cherokee County Fair is much more than carnival rides and a livestock show. It’s community coming together to celebrate and learn.

Church cares for Baxter community garden

The Baxter Springs Community is blessed to have a local free fresh produce distribution. The First Christian Church of Baxter Springs has been distributing fresh food from their community garden for years.

Cassidy receives Master of Arts

The University of Wisconsin-Madison held graduation ceremonies May 8. Lauren Cassidy from Columbus received her Master of Arts in German. There were two live ceremonies at Camp Randall, one for undergraduates and one for all graduate degree candidates.
