Life Christian School continued to dominate the Midstates Christian League Academic Competiton last Friday with a 65-45 victory over Bethel Christian of Ottawa in the League’s Junior Division (age12 and younger), hosted by the locals. It was the 16th consecutive win for LCS dating back to 2009 and the 34th in the 37-year history of the academic meet.

In keeping with the second quarterly exhibits recognizing the coal camps of the Southeast Kansas coal fields, the next installment in this series will recognize West Mineral and its mining history. The exhibit opens April 1 and will close on June 23.

The April meeting of Heart of the Heartlands Railroad Museum will be Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. This meeting will feature a lunch get together for all members of Heart of the Heartlands.
