Member of the Month
December’s 4-H member of the month is Ryleigh Holmes. Holmes is a member of the Spring Valley Sparklers, where she holds the office of secretary. She is 11 years old and is a sixth grade student at Central School in Columbus.

Knife ready for Auxiliary giveaway

At the November meeting of the Mercy Auxiliary, members were told Phil Evans had completed the handcrafted knife he donated to the Auxiliary for a giveaway. Chances are a donation of $5 each or three for $12 and can be purchased at the Holiday Fair or from any auxiliary member.

Library board meeting

The Columbus Public Library held a board meeting November 14. After the meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m. a motion was made by Maggie Mooney to accept the minutes from the October meeting and was seconded by Kelly Walters. The motion passed.
