What is coming up for the Columbus Day Festival? A few things planned for the annual Columbus Day Festival, October 8 include: The Car and Motorcycle Show will be on Maple St and Pennsylvania St., advance registration will be available. Classes available for all types of vehicles.

Space for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Business EXPO “Celebrate the Possibilities” to be held October 20 at the State Theatre Event Center, if filling up fast. Set up will be Wednesday, October 19 from noon to 5 p.m. followed by a members only after hours.

Reservations come in weekly for the 2023 Columbus All School Reunion. The CCCHS, CCRHS and CUHS All School Reunion is scheduled for June 30, July 1 and 2, 2023, to be held at the State Theatre Event Center in Columbus. Has your class sent out information to your classmates?

Steven Bankey and The Flatlander’s is a red dirt country band out of Kansas City, Mo. They will hit the bandstand Friday of Fair Week. Heavily influenced by the grassroots country music movement originating in southern parts of Texas and Oklahoma.

Five active 4-H clubs in Cherokee County

Cherokee County has five community clubs at the present time. Shamrock was chartered in 1947. Current leaders of the club are Michele Hamilton and Scott Pritchett. Spring Valley Sparklers was chartered in 1948 and their leaders are Raven Elmore, Ragena Duling and Josie Welch.
