Fascination with names makes genealogy research interesting
Titan Seniors Jayden Rodriguez, Ava Hulvey, Katelyn Draeger, Piper Hayes, and Lemmie Stone each received a $300 CJSHS Business Scholarship from Instructor Laura Boeckman during the Columbus Unified High School Senior Awards Assembly, May 15, in the high school gymnasium.

At a monthly meeting of the Sheridan Homemakers, 4-H members had the opportunity to practice giving presentations on their Cherokee County Fair entries. Each presenter was given a backpack of useful items to use during fair week. Prior to the 4-H presentations, Sheridan Homemaker Treasurer, Evon Goettel, gave a talk on the history of the United States Constitution. I have always been fascinated by names. I have encountered many names in my lifetime, first as an elementary teacher and for the last twenty-five years as a volunteer in a genealogy library.
