Members of the Columbus Recreation Commission accepted a grant from the Columbus Area Community Foundation for improvements to the Cal Ripken (Volunteer) Field and the girls softball field recently at the Columbus Community Field Ball Park. The Columbus Community Fields have received some major upgrades thanks to the Ballpark Improvement Initiative grant from the Columbus Area Community Foundation. This support allowed for improvements to the girls’ softball field with a backstop and dugouts.
