Ruby Ellen LaTurner, age 91, of Galena, died at 10:22 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, following an illness. Born February 9, 1932, in Rural Jasper County, Mo., Ruby was the daughter of Ezra Julian and Thelma Lorraine (DeHaven) Talley.

Therese Koester, 92, Joplin, Mo.

Therese Rose (Westhoff) Koester, age 92, of Joplin, Missouri, died peacefully surrounded by family April 19, 2023 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. Born December 9, 1930 in Greenbush, Therese was the daughter of Charles and Clemence Westhoff, the eleventh of 12 children.

Lottie Delores (Tipping) Bass, 90, of Columbus, died 9:11 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Medicalodge Nursing Home surrounded by family. Her transition was gentle, peaceful, and beautiful. She had hoped to live to age 90, and she met this goal on Easter Sunday this year.

Bertha Faye Holden (Ferris), 84, of Miami, Okla., died Monday April 17, 2023. She departed this life surrounded by family. Born September 22, 1938, in Miami, Okla., Bertha was the daughter of Earl and Rosa (Thomason) Ferris. She grew up with two sisters and two brothers that she loved very much.
