Steven L Morey, 70, of Galena died at 7:55 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Freeman West Hospital, in Joplin, Missouri following an illness. Born August 12, 1952, in Wichita, Steven was the son of Clifford and Dorothy (Moore) Morey. He attended Galena schools with the class of 1971.

Jabin Edward Grubbs, 45, of Quapaw, Okla., died peacefully Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. surrounded by his loving family. Born August 18, 1977, in Los Angeles, Calif. Kabom was the son of Larry Grubbs and Stephanie Anderson Grubbs. His mother preceded him in death.

Born August 12, 1956, in Chanute, Arthenia was the second oldest of seven children born to Howard and Violet (Bryant) Houdashelt. She had lived in Oswego since 1980, moving from Humboldt.

Delda L. Smith, 100, of Oswego, died the morning of Friday, March 31, 2023, at Oswego Health and Rehab. Born January 28, 1923, in Cherokee County, Delda was the daughter of William Thomas “Bill” and Nellie Jane (Alexander) Campbell. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in rural Oswego.
