Darlene Joanette Nash Clayborn, 65, died July 11, 2022, at 12:16 a.m. while a resident of Eastwood Manor in Commerce Oklahoma. Darlene suffered from Dementia and Parkinson’s decease and after a stroke she was unresponsive and succumbed to her illnesses.

Ronald Bilke, 75, Quapaw, Okla.

Ronald “Ron” Edward Bilke, 75, of Quapaw, Okla., died Sunday, July 10, 2022 at his home. Born November 1, 1946 in Miami, Okla., Ron was the son of Verl and Sarah (Bailey) Bilke. The preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother James Bilke.

Alvin W. Meyers, 44, of Asbury, Missouri, died Saturday, July 9, 2022 after an illness. Born May 2, 1978 in Baxter Springs, Alvin was the son of David G. Meyers Sr. and Cathy Stevens Windle. He graduated with the class of 1996 in Fairland, Oklahoma.

Frieda Leone McKee-Montee-Prudlick, 82, of Columbus died peacefully July 7, 2022 at the Gran Villas in Columbus. Born June 22, 1940, was the daughter of Helen and Harry McKee. They preceded her in death.

Michael Teal, 56, Joplin, Mo.

Michael Dean Teal, 56 of Joplin, Mo., died at 7:30 p.m., July 1, 2022, at Mercy Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. Born September 11, 1965, in San Diego, Calif., Michael was the son of Douglas Norman Teal and Marguerite Dean (Erksin). He had lived in the Joplin, Mo. area most of his life.

Michael Clyde Pistole, 74, of Cherokee, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Born October 11, 1947, in Pittsburg, Michael was the son of Carl Edwin and Velma May (Bain) Pistole.

Karyn Kay Garretson, 80, of Parsons, died Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Landmark Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. Born March 11, 1942, in Pittsburg, Karyn was the daughter of Tim Brandt and Beatrice Davis Brandt.

Charlene Endicott, 81, Weir

Charlene K. Endicott, 81, of rural Weir, died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi Village, in Pittsburg. Born May 30, 1941 near Opolis, Charlene was the daughter of Wilford and Dorothy (Ashmore) Melton.

Wilma McQuade, 87, Joplin, Mo.

Wilma Jean McQuade, 87, of Joplin, Mo. died Friday, July 1, 2022, at her home where she had resided the past year with her daughter Donna. Born February 23, 1935, in Pittsburg, Wilma was the daughter of Floy Bradley Nelson and W.S. Nelson.

Richard Thrower, 58, Galena

Richard Lee Thrower (Birddog), 58, of Galena died Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer. Born June 3, 1964 in Baxter Springs, Richard was the son of Hershell and Roberta (Adams) Thrower. He was a lifetime area resident.
