John Michael Boccia

John Michael Boccia, 67, of Potwin died December 23, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. John’s life began November 20, 1954, at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Pittsburg. He was the son of C M and Norvella (Melton) Boccia. John graduated from Columbus Unified Schools with the class of 1973.

William C. Kapler, 89, Olathe

William Charles Kapler, 89, of Olathe, died December 28, 2021 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park. He was born December 11, 1932 in Pittsburg to John A. and Anna M. Sigler Kapler. They preceded him in death. William was also preceded in death by a brother Bob Kapler.

Harold Cramer, Baxter Springs

Harold “Rocky” Allen Cramer, 71, of Baxter Springs died Tuesday December 28, 2021. Rocky had been a Grand Lake resident for the past 10 years. He had been a lifelong resident of Baxter Springs. Born November 2, 1950, Rocky was the son of Ruby and Clarence Cramer. He was the youngest of six children.

James E. “Jim” Schibi, 83, of Parsons, died at 3:02 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Labette Health. Born January 7, 1938 in Parsons, Jim was the son of William Joseph and Mary Ellen (Johnson) Schibi.

A memorial service for Kimberly Rae “Kimmy” Qualls, 64 of Galena, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday January 7, 2022 at the First Christian Church of Galena. Pastors Joe West Sr. and David Schepper will officiate. Private burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Galena.

Linda Faye Stark, 67, Columbus

Linda Faye Stark, 67, of rural Columbus died Friday, December 24, 2021. Linda was born in Boulder, Colo. She was the daughter of Robert and Darlene Spence. She married William Stark December 1, 1972.

James Walker, 31, Galena

James Alen Walker, 31, of Galena, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021, in Joplin, Mo. Born January 3, 1990, James was the son of Tammy Darnaby and David Walker. His father preceded him in death. James was also preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth “KT” Ashburn and his grandparents.

Norma Jean Clark, 79, Galena

Norma Jean Clark 79, of Galena, died Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Mercy Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. Born February 14, 1942, in rural Cherokee, Norma was the daughter of Norman Loucks and Beulah Lavon Burnett Loucks. They preceded her in death.

Marvella Ricketts, 90, Haysville

Marvella “Minnie” Marie (Dill) Ricketts, 90, died peacefully Saturday, November 27, 2021, at home, surrounded by her four daughters. Born January 27, 1931 in Columbus, Minnie wass the daughter of Harry and Effie Dill. She was the youngest of nine children.

Kimberly Qualls, 64, Galena

Kimberly Rae “Kimmy” Qualls, 64 of Galena, died at Freeman West Hospital of Joplin, Mo. Thursday, December 23, 2021. Born in Joplin, Mo. April 11, 1957 Kimmy was the daughter of James C. “Jimmy” Qualls and Carol Rae (Elder) Qualls.
