Doris L. Sill, 85, of Joplin, Mo. died Tuesday, December 1, 2021. Doris, daughter of Manford and Irene Selby, was born January 29,1936 in Columbus. They preceded her in death. Doris was also preceded in death by her sister Helen Bilke and grandson Bryan Messner.

Garrell North, 71, Columbus

Garrell Dene North, 71, of Columbus, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his home Garrell graduated in 1968 from Joplin High School, in Joplin, Mo. After graduation he left for boot camp and served his country for 10 years, both active and reserves. He did overseas tours in South Korea and Italy.

Gary W. Bryant, 72, of Chetopa, died at 5:10 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2021, at his home. Born March 3, 1949, in Great Bend, Gary was the son of Leo Wayne and Geraldene Millie (Feemster) Bryant. As a young boy, Gary grew up and attended school in Ellinwood and Texas.

Leroy J “Tiger” Watkins, 76, Joplin, Mo., died November 29 at his residence in Joplin, Mo. Born March 8, 1945, Leroy was a retired entrepreneur who grew up in the Joplin and Seneca, Mo. area. He was a country boy who enjoyed horses and swap meets. He was loved so very much and will be missed.

Brian Paul Fruit, 58, Shawnee

Brian Paul Fruit, 58, of Shawnee, died peacefully at home November 29, 2021. Born October 18, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of Robert Paul Fruit, Jr. and Carol Sue (Gorman) Fruit. Brian had a passion for cars and became a certified mechanic and worked for numerous automotive shops.

Lora Christine (Newman) (Bryson) Neal, 36 years of Joplin, Mo. died November 23, 2021 after a short illness at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Lora was raised in Galena, where all of her school years were spent in the Galena School System.
