Larry R Murdock, 52, of Waddy, Ky. died Sunday, April 4, 2021 in his home. Born December 15, 1968, in Columbus, Larry was the son of Larry I. Murdock and Micki Ward. His father and former spouse, Tonya, preceded him in death. Larry and Brenda Weeden were united in marriage October 15, 2016.

Michael Mordica

Michael Dean Mordica 68, of Cherokee, died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday April 4, 2021 at his home following an illness. Born March 4, 1953 in Pittsburg, Mike was the son of Gerald G. and Virginia I. (Trosch) Mordica. They preceded him in death.

Nancy Whitten, Carl Junction, Mo.

Nancy L. Whitten, 72, of Carl Junction, died at 12:58 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at her home following an illness. Born February 11, 1949 in Joplin, Mo., Nancy was the daughter of Earl and Pearl (Dean) Soper. She had lived in Carl Junction since 2007 after living most of her life in Columbus.

Paul Spencer

Paul Wayne Spencer, 66 of Oswego, died at 7:20 p.m. in Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Born November 4, 1954, Paul was the son of Clarence Alvin Spencer and Dorothy Louella (Pugh) Spencer.

Gary Alexander

Gary Dean Alexander, 57, of Galena, died March 28, 2021 at home with loved ones by his side. Born July 24, 1963 in Ogden Utah, Gary was the son of Willis Dean and Mary Ann Alexander. His father preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles and cousins.

Mary Morris

Mary Morris, 81, of Weir, died March 26, 2021 at Via Christy Hospital in Pittsburg. Born August 15, 1939, in Weir, Mary was the daughter of Joseph and Grace (Mallams) Bennett. Mary and John Wayne Morris Sr. were united in marriage November 18, 1957, in Miami, Okla. He preceded her in death.

Jim Phillips

Jim (Jimmy) Phillips, 68, of, Parsons, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1:33 p.m. Born May 26, 1952 ath the Oswego Hospital, Jim was the son of John and Abbie (Tice) Phillips. Jim attended and graduated from Oswego Schools.

Robert Patterson

Robert Hearold Patterson, 84, of Riverton, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021. The family will hold private services at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary

Rose Eagleson, 96, Columbus

Rose Lorene Eagleson, 96, formerly of Columbus, died March 25, 2021 at the Barone Care Center in Nevada Mo. Born October 27,1924 in Columbus, Rose was the daughter of Langdon Samuel Heavin and Lola Francis Dowdy Heavin. She attended a country school before transferring to high school in Columbus.

David Feagan, 58, Columbus

David Allan Feagan, 58, of Columbus, died peacefully Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Mercy hospital in Joplin, Mo. David was the son of Jess Feagan and Cora (Lynn) Feagan of Columbus. David met Cheri Froelich, the love of his life, she survives in the home. David is also survived by three children.
