Dear Editor: When I was growing up, my parents would talk about the turbulent month of April 1945. I wasn’t even alive then, however, I paid attention to their words. On April 12, 1945, President Franklin D. Roosevelt died, and Harry S. Truman took the oath of office as the new President.

Decisions, decisions. It is often quite difficult to make the proper choice in many areas and on various subjects. The safest way to ensure a quality outcome is, of course, to gather all available info and analyze it prior to selecting which course is preferable.

Flowers cause humidity to rise in Church

Easter Sunday was something to see. There were so many ladies’ hats with live flowers and fresh arrangements in the church that Preacher had to flip on the air conditioning to get rid of the humidity. That’s why there was an hour plea at the end of the sermon for money to pay for running the A/C.

Skin is the largest organ in the human body, but it’s easy to take it for granted. Unless we notice pain or itching or funny spots, most people don’t give it much thought. However, the skin is critically important. It helps regulate our body temperature and fluid and electrolyte balance.
