SE sweeps final league night, hosts championships

CJHS Seventh falls to Comets

The Columbus Seventh Grade Titans suffered a 6-14 loss on the road in Chanute, Thursday.The Junior Comets got on the score board with a pair of passes in the second quarter. The first, a 30-yard toss and the second a 20-yard catch andrun.

Titan Eighth cages Lions

The Columbus Titan Eight Graders blanked Baxter Springs, Thursday, at Titan Stadium, 32-0. The home team took control early with a 44-yard touchdown run by Jayden Dohle in the first quarter. Paxton Schalk ran in the two-point conversion for an 8-0 lead.
Senior Quarterback, Jack Vilela handed off to junior, Jayden Rodriguez, while seniors, Carter Henry and Jonah Smith make a hole in the line. The Titans took the CNC League win in a 36-0 shutout over the Rams in Riverton, Friday.

A 62-yard kickoff return by Titan Freshman, Cole Howard, a pair of interceptions and fumble recoveryby freshman, Kash Smith, set the tone for the Columbus Titan Offense in the 36-0, shutout over the Riverton Rams on Senior Night in Riverton, Friday.

Lady Lancers 1-5 in tourney

The Southeast Lady Lancers got just one win in the Neodesha Tournament, Saturday. After playing 15 sets in the day, Southeast took a three-set win over Baxter Springs 25-18; 2025; 25-23.

SE undefeated in TRL play

Southeast went to Uniontown, Thursday, and came away with two wins over their host and Altoona on TRL league night. The Lady Lancers remain undefeated, 10-0, in league play as they took down Altoona in their first match, 25-18; 25-13 and breezed past their hosts, Uniontown, 2512; 25-13.

Titan Freshman Lineman, Kash Smith, snagged two interceptions and recovered one fumble in the 36-0 win in Riverton, Friday night. He is being recognized as Titan of the Week.“Kash had a very nice game,” said Titan Head Coach Blake Burns.

Columbus hosts CC invitational

The Columbus Cross Country Team hosted a multi-level cross country meet, October 1, at the Brush Creek Golf Course. Sophomore, Cara Altis, placed sixth, in her home meet and junior, Darcy Garrett was 13th.Senior, Jessee Mc-Bride, placed ninth, in the boys two-mile race as the top Titan.
