LCS Bears defeat Fort Scott Christian

Life Christian’s Volleyball Bears topped twotime defending champion Fort Scott Christian, 25-22 and 25-20, last Saturday to capture their first Midstate’s Christian League championship since 2022. The Bears defeated the Mustangs that year for the title.

Labette County Jail Report

Steven Joseph Snyder, 52, was arrested Sunday by Oswego Police officers on charges of driving while suspended and defective tag lamp on motor vehicle and is being held in lieu of $673.50 bail.

Assault suspect arrested

On Wednesday, November 12, Galena Police Department received information of an assault that occurred in Galena. The assault had actually occurred early In the morning hours of November 11.The suspect kicked in the front door of the house and went in the bedroom and violently assaulted the victim.

Cherokee County Jail Report

Cody Lee Toye, 42, was arrested Sunday by Galena Police officers on charges of aggravated battery; cause great bodily harm and aggravated assault; with a deadly weapon and criminal restraint and is being held in lieu of $22,000 bail.

Four officers injured during domestic investigation

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that left one suspect deceased and four officers injured.The Osage County Sheriff’s Office requested the KBI conduct an investigation on Saturday, Novenber 15, at 10:49 a.m.
