Sheep show results announced

Results have been announced in the 4-H, FFA and Heritage Youth Association sheep show. The judge for the show was Larahmy Blakley. The superintendent was Jamie Walsh and committee members were Ted Meyer and Mike Colbert.

Auxiliary hears hospital update

An update on the hospital was presented by Angie Saporito at the August 19 meeting of the Columbus Mercy Auxiliary. Weather has allowed for a lot of the exterior improvements to get accomplished, with the hope of everything getting done by the Columbus Day weekend festivities.

Wyatt Murphy Diediker, 18, was arrested Monday by Oswego Police officers on charges of rape; offender 18 or older and victim is under age 14 and aggravated indecent liberties with a child; offender 18 or over fondle a child under age 14 and is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.

District 493 makes property purchase

The purchase of two lots adjacent to the current Columbus School District bus barn was approved Monday night at their regular meeting.The lots at 813 and 821 South High School were purchased from Ty and Macy Messner for a total purchase price of $29,000.
