2025 dessert auction brings almost $5,000

Following a record $10,750 in sales at the annual 4-H dessert auction last year (2024) this year’s cake auction was much more reserved without the local political candidates bidding for cakes and votes.
NAPA employees remain ready to serve the customers along with new owner. The NAPA crew includes Luke Breeden, Zach Davis, owner Walter York and Jeff Mcormick. Former owner Brian Natalini will be around regularly to discuss hunting and fishing.

The Columbus NAPA store has recently changed hands as long time employee Walter York has recently purchased the auto parts from former owner Brian Natalini.York has worked for Natalini for the past 14 -years, and has been involved in the day to day operation alongside the former owner.

The Cherokee County Health Department will be hosting the BAM or Becoming A Mom class series beginning August 4 at 3 p.m. and occurs every Monday including the dates of August 11, 18, 25, September 8 and 15.Pregnant individuals may attend along with their partners, for one or all of the classes.

Students who attended Greenlawn Elementary School 25 years ago were able to view the items they placed into a time capsule. The capsule was recently dug up and was opened up Wednesday night at the Cherokee County Fair. The items are currently on display in the board office.
