Larry Spahn one of the five pioneer coal miners who worked for P & M during the time Big Brutus was in operation who told the crowd of the mining industry. Those seated were Dave Kimery, Carmon Boccia, Jim Levell and Louis Kalm.

Tate Godfrey received the ”Big Fish” plaque at the 47th Annual Cherokee Sportsman’s Association, with his 2.32-pound bass. His sisters were right behind him with Mattie catching a 1.47-pound bass and Mia landing a 1.43-pounder. The event was held at the Sportsman’s Club Saturday afternoon.
