Yard sale map in today’s issue

Once again it is bargain weekend in Columbus as the annual Yard Sale will be held Saturday. See Page 7 of today’s edition of the News-Report for the listing of addresses and a map where the bargains are.

Central School in Baxter announces honor rolls

Central School in Baxter Springs has announced their honor rolls.
A reception for Dr. Sarah Garner Maxton was held recently (May 25) at the Baxter Springs Community Center. This has been quite a journey for the “high distinction” Liberty University graduate. All this while her daughter, Eva, was battling Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. Sarah was wearing her graduation robes with scholar accoutrements and her 4.0 Grade Point Average medal.

Join Bunco crowd every Tuesday

Bunco games are still played each Tuesday from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at 516 North Kansas. If you don’t know how to play, the group will teach you. If you can’t move around much, we will accommodate you. The group still tosses around a stuffed animal to whoever received the last Bunco.
