Commissioners hear delinquent tax sale process has begun

The Cherokee County Commissioners were told Monday by the County Treasurer Heather Sapp that the process has begun to do a delinquent tax sale later this year.Treasurer Sapp estimated that approximately 300 properties had been taken to the title companies to have the ownership researched.

Baxter Springs city officials were busy earlier this week as they had representatives from two companies seeking to put solar farms in Cherokee County attempting to get approval of the governing body.
