Baxter firefighter dies from injuries

An entire county was devastated Thursday as word spread of the death of Baxter Springs volunteer firefighter Lt. Malachi Brown. His wife posted on a social media site that the 32-year old firefighter had succumbed Wednesday night in a Springfield hospital.

USD508 gets update on child care center

RISE Center gets new playground, greenhouse
