Pair arrested for felony charges

While attempting to serve felony narcotics warrants at Sunday afternoon, two suspects fled into a wooded area. Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies had gone to the residence to serve arrest warrants on Adam C. Evans, which had been previously issued by the Cherokee County District Court.

Council discusses bond ordinance

An ordinance authorizing and providing for the issuance of general obligation bonds for the city of Columbus was discussed by the City Council Monday night. The bonds are to pay for the High School Street project.
