Master Gardener training back in person for 2021

With gardening on the rise as a result of the COVID pandemic, there is a need for trained horticulture volunteers – a need filled by the Extension Master Gardener program. Last year, Kansas State University’s Extension Master Gardener training was exclusively online.

Balloon crew members sought

The Columbus Hot Air Balloon Regatta needs six or seven crew members to help pilots prepare their balloon for lift off and to help bring them down when ready to land, Saturday and Sunday morning and Saturday afternoon of Columbus Day Weekend. The committee has Friday evening covered.

The completion date of the High School Street project in Columbus has been pushed back to sometime in September. The original plan called for completion before school started in August but weather and supply delays have moved the date back.
