Sheriff gives inmate update to Commission

Inmate housing generated $23,000 into county coffers in the month of March, according to a report given the County Commission by Sheriff David Groves.

Casino meets projections first time since opening

For the first time since its opening in late March of 2017 the Kansas Crossing Casino in Pittsburg reached the revenue projected by the state. It took five years from the opening to reach the projections. The Kansas Crossing Casino had gaming revenue of $3,646,934.

Columbus Community Development Director Jake Letner

Columbus Community Development Director Jake Letner planted the first sign of a property for sale by the Columbus Land Bank. Letner said the bank was nearly ready to close on several more properties.
