Dale Crane

Dale Harold Crane, of Quapaw Oklahoma, died June 21, 2023. He was born October 3, 1953. With the exception of the last six months, Dale lived his entire life in Lowell.

He graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1971.He then attended Pittsburg State University, graduating in 1975 with a Bachelor’s of Industrial Arts. He taught for 34 years for the Baxter Springs School District, retiring in 2010.

Dale is survived by his wife of 43 years and always the love of his life, Cathy Crane; one son and daughter-in-law Robbie and Tracy Crane, daughter, Robyn Crane; and a sister and brotherin-law Don and Janet Underwood. Dale absolutely adored his grandchildren - Alexis, Skylar, Gabriel, Sophia, Allie, Elijah, and Logan. He was also a soon-to-be great grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Margaret Crane and brother Duane Crane.

Dale had a heart for the great outdoors and enjoyed hobbies such as, canoeing, camping, gardening, woodworking and coaching softball. As a member of the Quapaw tribe of Oklahoma, his family heritage and native culture were a big part of who he was. Family and friends mourn the loss of such a kind, generous, and gentle soul who has left a legacy on all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, June 30 at Lowell Friends Church, in Lowell. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1 at the Lowell Friends Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his beloved Lowell Friends Church in his name.
