Eva L. Bower, 86 of Columbus, died July 7, 2023, at Webb City Health and Rehab in Webb City, Mo. Born February 4, 1937, in Rural Cherokee, Eva was the daughter of Robert and Carrie L. (Allen) Walker.
Evan and Richard L. Bower were united in marriage January 30, 1958, at Chetopa. He preceded her in death December 27, 1996.
Eva worked as an accountant for Ace Electric for many years. She was a state champion bowler in the Columbus Bowling league, a dedicated Mary Kay consultant for a decade, and had a deep love for gospel music.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Teresa Bower of Pittsburg, Deanna Myers(husband Don) of Wichita, Brenda Wilson (husband Don) of Miami, Okla.; brother; Robert Walker of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters; Beaulah Wheeler of Columbus, Melody Eisenbart of Cherryvale, Ida Walker of Tulsa, Okla., Lynnetta Ward (husband Fred) of Mountain View, Ark. and Nora Coon (husband Jim) of South Carolina; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Roger Bower and two brothers; Don and Lonnie Walker.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 14, at 2 p.m. in the Columbus Bath-Naylor Funeral Home. Pastor Daryl Gaddy will officiate. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery at Columbus.
A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
