Elizabeth “Lisa” Combs, 56, of Webb city, Mo., died at 6:14 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Mercy Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. following an illness. Lisa had lived in Webb City the past few months, but had been a resident of the Galena area since her early 20’s. Born September 2, 1966, in Grand Rapids Mich. Lisa was the daughter of Prudencio Perez Sr. and Maria Elena (Estrada) Perez of Romulus, Mich. They survive.
While in high school, Lisa was a member of the ROTC. She was of the Catholic faith. Lisa enjoyed sewing, cooking and writing in her journal. To her grandchildren she was affectionately called MoeMoe.
In addition to her parents, Lisa is survived by one son, D. J. Combs, of Galena; two daughters, Cecilia Ballard (Chris) of Galena and Crystal Girard (Samuel Allen), of Webb City, Mo.; three brothers, Jose G Delacruz, of Sacramento, Calif., Prudencio Perez Jr, (Kim), of Allen Park, Mich. and Domingo Perez, Romulus, Mich. Several half brothers and sisters, including Angel Hyle (Bobby) of Salisbury, MD, Jennifer Delacruz and Shaun Delacruz (Carleana), both of Lansing, Mich.; 12 grandchildren, Daryn Combs, Riot Benjamin, Carson Ballard, Antonio (Pepe) Combs, Heavenly Morris, Alivia Morris, Brycen Morris, Alexis Dunham, Darius Dunham, Kenian Evans, Alena Evans, and Maddison Gordon; 11 step-grandchildren Lisa was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Gordon, half-brother Roberto DeLa Cruz, biological father Francisco DeLa Cruz and her two youngest children’s father, Doug Combs.
Lisa was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, for cremation. The family will plan to celebrate her life at a later date.
