Todd Alan Wilcox, 58, lifelong resident of Columbus, died Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Freeman Hospital, in Joplin, Missouri. He married his high school sweetheart Patti Michelle Edwards March 18, 1982. Todd worked for Ace Electric, until an accident 26 years ago. As an adult, Todd was proficient at taking things apart and putting them back together, particularly old cars. Todd loved spending time with his kids, Chris and Lacy and teaching them about cars. Fishing and hunting were among his hobbies, and he enjoyed music by Garth Brooks and George Jones. His dog “PB,” short for Pretty Baby, will surely miss him; along with his daughter Lacy’s guinea pigs, Elvis and Hershey. Todd’s family recounts that he was always willing to help anybody, and that willingness continued even in his death, as an organ, tissue and bone donor.
