Bradley Dean Foth, 44, of Cameron Park, California died Friday, July 7, 2023. Born October 5, 1978 in Hillsboro, Brad was son of Lowell Foth and Corrine (Jost) Dyck. He was baptized at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren church and actively participated in mission trips through the church’s youth program during his high school years. He enjoyed playing football and basketball, riding motor cross and building and driving demolition derby cars.
After graduating from Hillsboro High School, Brad played football and attended Tabor College in Hillsboro for a year before transferring to Kansas State University. He completed his Bachelor of Business degree in 2002 while working as a part-time employee for UPS in the Lenexa hub. He married Kristen Gafford October 25, 2003. The couple resided in Gardner, where they had two sons, Noah Dean, born 2007 and Caleb Bradley, born 2009. Upon a promotion to District Automotive Director for UPS, the family relocated to the Sacramento, California area in the summer of 2021.
Brad was a UPS employee for 23 years, but his impact on those he worked with extended far beyond his professional achievements. As an active member of the nonprofit organization Skills USA, he dedicated time and effort to empowering young individuals, cultivating their vocational skills, and fostering their dreams by supporting and promoting the trades as a sound career path. With boundless passion and tireless dedication, he contributed to shaping the future of countless students, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.
Within his role at UPS, Brad transcended the boundaries of mentorship. Through his leadership and guidance, he helped establish the automotive leadership development program and paved the way for numerous management professionals to excel and embrace greater responsibilities. His genuine care for others and commitment to their growth positioned him as a treasured asset and valued partner within the UPS family.
In his free time, Brad enjoyed attending his sons’ sporting events, deer hunting and upland bird hunting with his boys and dog Duke. He was always up for a chat with anyone and took great pleasure in simply enjoying the stories that others had to tell. Despite the move to California, he remained a diehard fan of K-State, the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals although he did become a Sacramento Kings fan as well. He had a passion for automobiles and anything having to do with them. If anyone was having a mechanical issue with their car, they always knew to call Brad. Gone too soon, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his brother Shane Foth, paternal grandparents Walter and Dorothy Foth and maternal grandparents Norton and Nellie Jost.
Brad is survived by his wife Kristen of the home; sons Noah and Caleb Foth, Cameron Park, California; father Lowell Foth, Hillsboro; mother Corrine (Bruce) Dyck, of Inman; brother Matt (Janie) Foth, of Hillsboro and sister Courtney Foth, of McPherson.
A memorial service be will be held Thursday, August 3, at 1 p.m. at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, in Gardner. A celebration of life for Brad was previously hosted by UPS Wednesday, July 19 in El Dorado Hills, California. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be designated for Brad’s children’s continuing education funds as well a donation to Skills USA in Brad’s honor. Anyone who wishes to contribute can do so via Kristen Foth. Memorial Contributions may also be left at Bruce Funeral Home. A GoFundMe account has been established for the same purpose by Brad’s UPS partners.
