Justin Edward Krogen aka Boop, 36, of Baxter Springs, tragically had his life taken from him Sunday August, 20, 2023. Born in Pittsburg, August 5, 1987, Justin was the son of Teresa Marie Harris and John Krogen. Boop grew up in Weir and attended USD 247 schools. Boop loved life to its fullest.
Always willing to help a friend in need. An avid canoer, Justin went every chance he had, he even traveled to Colorado to hit the rapids with his best friends. He was the best Morel hunter in Southeast Kansas. He would drive the back roads and could spot a morel mushroom from his vehicle. Boop had two children Lexy and Blaise and they were the love of his life. He was a very proud father. Throughout his life he held a variety of jobs. The job he loved the most was maintaining and painting water towers throughout the United States allowing him to travel. He also had his own power washing business which he enjoyed. He was a man of many talents and could accomplish anything he put his mind to.
Justin is survived by a daughter, Lexy Mae Hudson of Pittsburg and Blaise Edward Mack Krogen of Rockport, Mo.; his father, John Bryan Krogen Sr. of Baxter Springs; siblings, Christina Marie Krogen of Baxter Springs, William Bill Harris and Autumn Bowen both of Weir, Meredith Margaret Marie Prier (Nick) of Girard and John Bryan Krogen Jr. (Megan) of Frontenac; four uncles, Dane Uber, Stephen Uber, Robert Taylor and Eddie Taylor, all of Weir. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as cousins.
Justin was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Sue (Mooney) Uber, mother, Teresa Marie (Taylor) Harris and stepfather, Leonard Harris Sr. of Weir; stepbrother, Donald Harris Jr. of Weir, , Aunt, Mindi Sue Uber, Grandparents, John D. and Delores L. Krogen of San Jose, Calif. Grandparents, Roberta Elaine (Penrod) Uber and Ronald E. Uber of Weir.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 28 at Brenner Mortuary. Pastor Dane Uber will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hosey Hill Cemetery west of Weir.
Pallbearers are Jeffrey Lovell, Kane McCready, L D Jones, Kaden Dixon, Devin Young, Cody Geier, and Chris Taylor.
The family suggests memorials to help with final expenses. These may be left at or mailed to Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg.
