When members of the Galena Fire Department searched for a 501c3 partner to aid in the founding of a memorial fund in memory of Fire Chief Bill Hall they formed a partnership with the Columbus Community Foundation.
The partnership would allow the Bill Hall foundation board to operate with their own guidelines for fundraising, dispensing funds, without the oversight of the Columbus Foundation.
