Frances Louise (Cossey) Morrison, 95, of Joplin, Mo., died Monday May 22, 2023, at Westgate by Wildwood Skilled Nursing Facility with family by her side. Born July 11, 1927, in Duenweg, Mo., Frances was the daughter of Joe and Audrey (Kirk) Cossey. Frances loved her family and helping others as well as being a housewife. She was a lifelong resident of the Joplin, Mo. area, having spent the past year at Westgate Skilled Nursing Facility.
Frances and Russell Morrison were united in marriage June 27, 1945, at Columbus. He preceded her in death October 29, 2021. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Lavon Kline, and Donna Long. Frances is survived by her daughter, Brenda Rose, (husband Kevin) one grandson, Dylan Rose (wife Stevie), a brother, Joe Cossey Jr. (wife Patsy) and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday May 30, at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Ty Rose will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory Joplin, Missouri.
