The Columbus Lady Titans split matches with former SEK League rivals, Independence and Coffeyville in a triangular meet held at the CUHS Gymnasium, Tuesday.

CJHS Titans win, tie with Bulldogs

The Columbus Junior High Titans traveled to Galena, Thursday, for an A/B game format. Due to low numbers on the Galena team, the Titans combined their seventh and eighth grade squads.

Week eight games pivotal for local playoff assignments

Week Eight of the Kansas State High School Activities Association’s football schedule will determine the week nine, first round of the state playoffs in all classes. CNC League teams, Frontenac and Galena, are both 3-0 in Kansas Class 3A, District 1 standings and 5-2 overall.

Columbus Day win for Titan 5th/6th

The Columbus Titan Mini Football Fifth and Sixth Grade Team continued their undefeated, 5-0, season with a Columbus Day win over Arma, 50-0. The Titans scored on their first five plays of the game. Jayden Dohle scored on a 55-yard touchdown run on the first down of their first possession.

Mini Titan 5th/6th shutouts Neodesha

The Titan Fifth and Sixth Graders opened a two-game home stand with a 48-0 shutout over Neodesha, October 1, at Titan Stadium, keeping their record unblemished at 4-0.

Titan 3rd/4th suffer back-to-back losses

The Columbus third and fourth grade Mini Titans suffered back-to-back losses as they entered the month of October on their schedule. Frontenac took a 42-26 win on October 1 and Parsons won the Columbus Day match-up, 266.

Youth Soccer back in action Saturday

The Columbus Youth Soccer League will resume their schedule of games tomorrow at Eddington Park. The three- and four-yearolds and 11 and up age groups will open the day with games beginning at 8 a.m. The remaining three age groups and field will begin at 9 a.m.

The Columbus Eighth Grade Volleyball Team split their final matches at the CCCJL Tournament, Thursday, October 6 in Frontenac. The Lady Titans suffered a two-set loss to Baxter Springs, 8-25; 23-25. Then came back to get a three-set win over Riverton, 15-25; 26-24; 1511.

Lady Titans fourth at Regional

Lady Titan Sophomore, Mallory Thompson, placed seventh at the Kansas Class 3-1A Regional Golf Tournament, Monday, at Cheney shooting 99 on the 72 course.
