Lady Lions earn split at Frontenac Triangular

Baxter Springs went to a 17-12 record with a loss to host Frontenac 25-15; 25-22. It took three sets to defeat Columbus, 23-25; 25-23; and 25-12. Leading 5-3, Frontenac went on a seven-point run to move to 12 points in the first set. Then led 25-15. The Lady Raiders served out the last four points.

Colgan, Ison win 3-1A Silver Lake Regional

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers Golf Team will be vying for a third straight Kansas Class 3-1A State Championship following their win at the Kansas Class 3-1A Regional, at Silver Lake, Monday.

The Columbus Titans gave up a disappointing loss to the St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers, 7-36, in Pittsburg, Friday night. It was another week of turnovers and penalties in which their hosts took full advantage, converting fumble recoveries, interceptions, and penalties into points.

CJHS Titan Seventh Grade overpowers Girard Trojans

The Columbus Titan Seventh Grade Team took a big win over Girard, 306, Thursday, at Titan Stadium. The Trojans lone score came in the third quarter and was aided by a roughing the passer penalty. Neither team scored in a quick, defensive, first quarter.

Girard takes eighth grade win

The Girard Trojan Eighth Grade Team scored early and often in their 42-8 win over the Columbus Junior High Titan Eighth Grade Team at Titan Stadium, Thursday. The Trojan offense opened with a 42-yard pass from Kamden Smith to Ben Cullen for six points.

CUHS Players support Titan Flag Team

Members of the Columbus Unified High School Titan Football Team stayed after practice to support the Mini Titan Flag Football Program during the night game under the lights at Titan Stadium.

Lady Rams Win Two Matches

The Riverton Lady Rams finished 2-1 in a volleyball quad match, Saturday, on their home court. The wins improve their season record to 26-2-1. The Lady Rams came out on top of Pittsburg 2510; 25-13 and St-Mary’s-Colgan 25-22; 25-19.
