Sports in Kansas has released its annual list of all-state softball player honors along with coach of the year honors.

Lady Titan Head Coach, Aimee Saporito was joined by Cassie Rhuems, Frontenac on the Class 3A Sports in Kansas annual list of softball coach of the year finalists in Kansas. Annie Dellasega, St. Mary’s-Colgan, was a finalist on the Class 2-1A list.

Galena wins 14U softball league

Galena’s Gravy’s Place 14U Softball Team won the league championship in the inter-city league tournament, in Riverton, Thursday, June 16. The champions entered the tournament as the number one seed and drew a bye in the first round.

Volleyball in summer league

The Lady Titan Varsity and Junior Varsity Volleyball Squads have been on the court for summer league action in Frontenac. “We are learning new things and putting in the time to get better,” said first year head coach Ryan Lacen.

Titan Football Camp July 11-13

The Columbus Titan Football Team will host a camp, July 11-13 for students entering grade 3-8 in the USD493 School District. The Camp will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. all three evenings at the Central School Football Field. Participants are asked to bring their own water bottles.

Riverton wins 12U softball title

The Riverton 1/GWG Designs, 12U Softball Team won the inter-city league tournament, Thursday in Baxter Springs. Seeded number one to start the tournament, Riverton received a first round bye.

Cal Ripken sets photo schedule

Photos will be taken for Columbus Cal Ripken Teams tonight and tomorrow night at the Community Field Ballpark. Please wear your uniform and be early. The closing ceremony will be Tuesday, June 28 at 6 p.m. Medals and trophies will be handed out and players and coaches will be introduced.
