The Frontenac Raiders have full control of the CNC Golf Standings, holding a 108-stroke lead in the team standings and has four golfers in the top five with one league tournament left to be played. Frontenac has a 1688 total in five CNC League tournaments. St.

Lady Titans JV team takes two at Colgan

The Lady Titan Junior Varsity Team took two wins in Pittsburg, Tuesday, over their hosts, the St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers, 16-3 and 9-2. The teams played a five-run or three-outs format for the CNC League double header. The Lady Titans came out swinging, scoring five runs in the first inning.

Lions run rule McAuley in two

A second run rule game for the Baxter Springs Lions was a little more interesting after the 14-0 shut out in the opening game at the Field of Dreams complex, Thursday. In the nightcap, the McAuley Warriors scored four runs and the Lions scored 14 in the run rule sweep.

JV Titans lost two at St. Mary’s Colgan

The Titan Baseball Junior Varsity suffered two losses in Pittsburg, Tuesday, handing the pair of wins to St. Mary’s-Colgan, 0-3 and 3-6 in CNC League play. A triple by junior, Cade Saporito, led of the evening for Columbus. He scored on a double by freshman, Jace Midgett.

Titans lead CNC League standings

The Thursday matchup between the Columbus Titans and the Frontenac Raiders could be a winner take all contest for the CNC League Championship. The Titans (7-1) have one less loss than the Raiders (8-2) as the final weeks of the Kansas High School Baseball season begin.

Titans first loss is split at Girard

The CNC leading Columbus Titans were handed their first loss of the season in a 1-2 defensive battle, Thursday in Girard. The Titans rallied in the night cap to earn the win, 8-5, for the split.

Ungeheuer breaks CUHS high jump record

Titan Junior, Kolt Ungeheuer, broke the CUHS record in the high jump at the first competition of his high school career. Kolt was recently recognized as Titan of the Week for his 17-pitch, perfect game against Galena and his hitting ability on the baseball diamond for the Titans.

Lady Titans sweep Lady Trojans

The Columbus Lady Titans improved to 8-0 in CNC League standings with a sweep of Girard, Thursday. After taking an early 1-0 lead in the first game, the Lady Titans fell behind, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Columbus tops CNC with 8-0 record

The Lady Titan Softball Team completed two CNC League double headers last week sweeping all four games over Galena and Girard, moving to 8-0 in league play and hoisting themselves to the top of the league standings. May begins the final week of regular season games.
