Titans sweep CNC League opener over Lions

The Columbus Titan Baseball Team opened their CNC League Schedule with a sweep over the visiting Baxter Springs Lions, Tuesday at Bomber Field in the Community Field Ball Park. The Titans won game one, 7-4 and closed out the night with a 9-3 win in the night cap.

Neely, Wary top ten at Independence Invite

The Central Junior High Golf Team kicked off their 2022 season at the Independence Middle School Golf Invitational, Monday. Lady Titans Amory Neely and Natalie Wary placed ninth and tenth respectively in the girls division shooting nearly identical scores of 65 and 66.

Lady Titans top undefeated Lady Lions

The Columbus Lady Titans topped the undefeated Baxter Springs Lady Lions in a two-game sweep, 8-2 and 5-2 in the CNC League opener, Monday in Columbus.

Simpson sets new record

Central Junior High School Seventh Grader, Levi Simpson, set a new school record in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 5:36.02 minutes while competing at the Galena Invitational, Tuesday. Levi placed second in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 64.

Junior Varsity girls repeat 20 run game

The Columbus Junior Varsity Lady Titans put 20 runs on the scoreboard for the second time in four days, thumping the Labette County Lady Grizzlies, 20- 1. Monday, they dominated their hosts in Altamont, 20- 2.

Lady Lions get big win at Fort Scott, move to 4-0

On their first road trip of the season, the Baxter Springs Softball Lady Lions came home with a 16-5 victory over Class 4A Ft Scott. The Lady Lions plated three runs in the opening inning.

Titan JV third at Wood Bat Tourney

The Columbus Titan Junior Varsity Baseball Team came away with a third place win at the Annual Brian Anderson Memorial Junior Varsity Wood Bat Tournament in Altamont, Saturday. The Titans began tournament pool play Friday afternoon with an 0-2 loss to Labette County the host team.
