Davolt signs with Bethany

Lady Titan Gracie Davolt signed a National Letter of Intent to further her career on the tennis court and the track with Bethany College in Lindsborg this fall. The signing took place at Columbus Unified High School, Monday, with her friends, family and coaches as witnesses.

Kirk battles Noel in KJC

Tatum Kirk won first place in the 12U, 105-110, division in the Ken Jones Classic Tournament, February 20 at the CUHS Gymnasium. Tatum won a sudden death victory over teammate, Hannah Noel on her way to the title. Hannah placed second in the class.

Titan of the Week Korbyn Newberry - Titan Wresting

Titan Freshman, Korbyn Newberry, won his second match at the Kansas Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament in Salina, Saturday to cap his 21-win, rookie campaign. He is being recognized as Titan of the Week. Newberry earned three team points with his win wrapping up a successful freshman season.

Mini Titans host Ken Jones Classic

Titan Wrestler, Baylor Bowman was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Ken Jones Classic, February 20 at the CUHS Gym. Baylor won both the 6U and 8U, 49, 46-49 weight classes at the tournament.

CUHS hosting first round Sub-State tonight

The Columbus Titan Basketball Team is hosting the Baxter Springs Lions tonight at the CUHS Gymnasium for the first round of the Kansas Class 3A Sub-State Tournament. The Titans are seeded second at 12-4 and Baxter Springs is seventh with a 4-16 record. Tip of is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Titans earn ten points at state

The Columbus Titan Wrestling Team earned ten team points at the Kansas Class 4A State Tournament in Salina, Friday and Saturday. Junior, Jake Eddington, earned seven points in the 285-pound weight class and freshman, Korbyn Newberry, wrestled for three team points in the 106-pound weight class.

Four Columbus Titan Wrestlers completed their seasons on the mats at the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 4A State Tournament in Salina, Friday and Saturday. The Titans qualified at the regional tournament to advance to the state event.

The results from the February Columbus Bass Club tournament just got reeled in. A total of 11 men competed throughout the afternoon of February 18. Battling against bafflingly cold winds and murky, waters, the men divided into six teams to compete for the first prize position.

The Columbus Wrestling Club hosted their Third Annual Ken Jones Classic Tournament, February 20, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Listed as 54 entries, some Mini Titans wrestled in multiple age divisions.
