The Columbus Lady Titan Wrestling Team brought home a Kansas Class 4-3-2-1A Regional B Championship and qualified eight wrestlers for the state tournament, in Salina, February 24. They are being recognized as Titans of the Week.

Seven wrestlers top four at Jayhawk Slam

Seven Columbus Wrestlers placed in the top four at the 2022 Jayhawk Slam, Saturday in Mound City. Six-year-old, Roman Atkinson and ten-year-olds, Paxton Schalk and Cole Atkinson were just one win away from a championship and settled for second place in their respective weight classes.

Lady Bulldogs win in Baxter Springs

The Lady Bulldogs went back to Galena with a 44-24 win following the contest against the Lady Lions in the Lion’s Den, Monday. Galena had a lid over their rim as numerous attempts would not fall in their opening period.

Titan Wrestling a family affair

The Lady Titan Wrestling Team considers themselves a family. Many successful teams refer to the family atmosphere and attitude is the key to their success. For the Columbus Team, it goes beyond, beginning at the top with head coach Marcus Bowman and his assistant coach, Mike Bowman.

CWC wrestles for the Belt

Columbus Wrestling Club’s, Kash Smith, captured the lone placing as nine Titan Mini Wrestlers battled for the belt. Kash placed fourth in the 12 and Under, 190-pound weight class at the Mulvane Battle for the Belt, February 6. 12U 190 Kash Smith placed fourth. Champ.

Central Titan Eighth Grade wraps season at CCCJL

The Central Junior High Eighth Grade Basketball Team wrapped up their 2022 season with a win and a loss at the CCCJ League End of Season Tournament, Thursday in Baxter Springs.
