Bentley Townsend and the Lady Titan Seventh Grade Basketball Team will be playing for third place in the CCCJ League Tournament, Thursday at Girard against Galena. Tip-off will be at 4 p.m. The Central Eighth Grade Team will play for third at 5 p.m. against St. Mary’s-Colgan.

The Lady Titan Wrestling Team placed third a the Bentonville West Tournament, Friday, to close out their pre-Christmas break schedule. Columbus scored 76 team points to place third behind two Arkansas power house schools, Searcy and Fayetteville. Freshman, Korbyn Newberry, takes control of his Girard opponent during a triangular match, Thursday at the Columbus High School Gymnasium. Korbyn placed third in the Bentonville West Tournament, Saturday and earned seven team points for the Titans.
The Columbus Titan Basketball Team won their fifth straight title at the St. Paul Mark Terlip Classic Tournament, Friday, with at 58-35 win over St. Paul.
