Newcomb sets pole vault record at SE

Lancer Senior, Hunter Newcomb, set a new Southeast High School record in the Pole Vault at Chanute, Friday. Hunter cleared 12 feet, 10 inches in setting the record and a new personal best. Cullen Mutz, junior, set an new personal record in the 300 Meter Intermediate Hurdles with a time of 42.

Lady Bulldogs take two from Baxter Lady Lions

The Lady Bulldogs (12-8) took two, CNC League softball games at home over the Lady Lions (11-7), Thursday. Galena won the opener in a close 4-3 score and shutout Baxter Springs 4-0 in the nightcap.

Lions spin past Golden Tornadoes

It was the last regular season game for the Baxter Springs Baseball Team, and one of the longest Senior Recognition Ceremonies in recent history, with the Lions graduating nine players this week. The Lions finished their regular season hosting the non-conference Coffeyville, Golden Tornadoes.

Titan Senior, Cameron Draeger, was honored on Senior Night at Bomber Field between wins over the Riverton Rams, May 3 at the Community Field Ball Park. Cameron is a four-year member of the Titan Baseball Team. He was escorted by his parents, Ben and Elesha Draeger.

Lady Titan Senior, Bailey Monroe, collected another first-place medal in the Javelin at the Northeast Track and Field Meet, Thursday. She is being recognized as Titan of the Week.

Titans, Lady Titans take first at Northeast

The Titan and Lady Titan Track and Field Teams took first place at the Northeast Invitational, Thursday. The Lady Titans scored 111 points to win the girls division followed by Riverton in second place with 75 team points.

Baxter Springs Lion Baseball CNC Champs

Baxter Springs Baseball claimed the CNC League title after their double-header sweep against Galena. The Lions secured the CNC Championship Title with 22-5 and 11-3 wins over the Bulldogs, bringing their league game tally to 10-2. In game one, Galena controlled the first two innings.

Titan Seniors, Preston Mullere and Tucker Peine teamed up to qualify for the Kansas Class 3-2-1A State Tournament in doubles tennis at the 3-2-1A Regional in Conway Springs, Saturday. The pair placed sixth out of 19 doubles teams at the regional.
