The Columbus Titans moved their home game match up with Girard to the Trojans turf field Thursday for the CNC League double header due to wet field conditions at Bomber Field. Girard took advantage of the move, getting a home field sweep of the Titans, 8-1 and 7-5.

The Lady Titan Softball Team split a pair of lopsided games at St. Mary’s-Colgan in Pittsburg, Monday, 3-11 and 11-5. Both games were closer than they appear in the final tally with the majority of runs scored in the final innings.

Baxter Springs (9-6) dropped two CNC League softball games at Frontenac Monday. The opening game was an 11-3 loss, and the second was closer at 6-3. The Lady Lions managed only six hits in the first game. Senior, Allie Fry, had an inside the park, stand-up home run and a single.

The Titan Junior Varsity Baseball Squad staged a comeback in the second game of their double header Tuesday night at Bomber Field, coming from behind to overtake the lead, 8-7 in the bottom of the fourth inning. But three outs from the win, the visiting St.
Titan Thrower, Kody Schalk, placed third in the Javelin and the Shot Put at the Columbus Invitational Track and Field Meet, Monday at the Central School Track. The junior won the Discus with a toss of 111 feet, 9.5 inches.

Five Lady Titans took first place at the Columbus Invitational, Monday, and the Titan Throwers swept the boys events. Seniors, Kerri Jones, Dixee Lacen and Bailey Monroe all took first in their respective events of the 100 Meter Dash, the 3200 Meter Run and the Javelin.
