The Titan Junior Varsity Team added two games to their schedule at the Joplin, Mo. Eagles Baseball Festival, Saturday. Originally scheduled to be three games played over two days, the event was rescheduled to two games on one day following a rain out Friday.

The hometown, Columbus Titans needed just five innings to put away the visiting Cherryvale Chargers in a non-league, 17-5, blowout. Jacob Scibor, junior, threw the first three innings for Columbus from the mound with senior, Eli Touchton closing out the final two innings of the win.

The Titan Junior Varsity Baseball Team hosted Cherryvale, Thursday, for the night cap of a varsity/ junior varsity double header. The teams played to a 9-9 tie after five innings of play. The visiting Chargers batted first putting three runs on the scoreboard with one hit and two errors.

Lady Titans complete sweep

The Lady Titans completed a two-day sweep of Labette County, March 29 and April 1 in a home-and-away series. At Altamont Monday, Columbus came from behind to earn an 8-6 win. Thursday at home, the Lady Titans used 17 hits to outscore their visitors, 12-4 for the sweep.
