Community Blood Center of the Ozarks organized a blood drive in Columbus Monday, August 17. Richard Parker was one of more than 30 people who selflessly donated. CBCO collected more than four gallons of blood across all donors who also received a premium beach towel for their contributions.
City of Columbus crews have been working to grind streets ahead of planned resurfacing later this fall. The new milling machine, shown attached to one of the city’s backhoes, has experienced issues in recent weeks resulting in its temporary retirement. City Superintendent Randy Coble expects it to be back to work in the coming weeks.
Titan Seniors Jayden Rodriguez, Ava Hulvey, Katelyn Draeger, Piper Hayes, and Lemmie Stone each received a $300 CJSHS Business Scholarship from Instructor Laura Boeckman during the Columbus Unified High School Senior Awards Assembly, May 15, in the high school gymnasium.
