Sheri Werling, 67, Branson, Mo.

Sheri Lynn Cowley Werling, 67, of Branson, Mo., died Saturday, July 24, after suffering a devastating stroke. Born January 21, 1954, Sheri was the daughter of Stan and Mary Cowley. A graveside service open to everyone will be held at 10 a.m. Friday July 30 at Greenlawn cemetery.

Cecil North Jr., 78, Columbus

Cecil Arthur North Jr., 78, of Columbus, died Thursday, July 22, 2021 while at work. Born August 3, 1942, in Picher, Okla., Cecil was the son of Cecil Arthur North Sr. and Eva Mae (Allsgood). Cecil and Della Newcomb were united in marriage July 12, 1958.

Paul Coble, 79, Columbus

Paul L. Coble, 79, of Columbus, died Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Joplin, Mo. Born in Hallowell, October 22, 1941, Paul was the son of David Leroy Coble and Lula Irene Page. Paul graduated from Cherokee County Rural High School with the class of 1959.

Scott Forbes, 62, Katy, Texas

Scott Forbes, 62, of Katy Texas died Sunday, July 18, 2021, in Houston, Texas. Born September 7, 1958 in Joplin, Mo., Scott was the son of Bill and Sandra Endicott Forbes. Scott and Cindy Miller were united in marriage November 29, 1980, at Riverton. She survives.

Jimmy Addis, 89, Oswego

Jimmy R. Addis, 89 of Oswego, died the evening of Friday, July 23, 2021 at Oswego Health and Rehab. Born just southwest of Oswego November 19, 1931, Jimmy was the son of James Jackson Addis and Edythe Viola (Hearson) Addis.

Paula Woods

Paula Marlene Woods, 69, of Crestline, died peacefully at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at the Via Christi hospital in Pittsburg following a period of ill health. Born June 21, 1952 in Oswego, Paula was the daughter of Adrian and Margaret (Walker) Woods.

Vickie Foster

Vickie Lynn (Curl) Foster, 66, of Galena, died at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo. July 7, 2021 after battling an illness. Vickie was born June 28, 1955 to the union of Jessie and Betty Curl. Cremation has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena. No services are planned at this time.

Nancy Touchette

Nancy Ann Touchette, 82, of Oswego, died Sunday, June 11, 2021 at the Girard Medical Center, Girard. Born January 8, 1939 in Cornwell, Vermont, Nancy was the daughter of Charles Guenette and Ruth Gilmore. They preceded her in death.

Brenda Evans

Brenda Jean Evans, 72, of Parsons, died at 9:25 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at her home following an illness. Born June 8, 1949 in Independence, Mo.. Brenda was the daughter of Orville and Lena Jean (Winegar) Snyder. Her husband, Ned James Evans preceded her in death.
