Roy Edward Wright, 85, of Joplin, Mo. died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Roy was born December 19, 1935 in Hominy, Okla. Roy joined the United States Navy and served his country for over 20 years in Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1976.

Randy Ewen, 61, Columbus

Randy Gene Ewen, 61, of Columbus, died Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Born February 29, 1960 in Baxter Springs, Randy was the son of Edgar Russell (Buck) and Hazel Louise Ewen of Riverton. Randy worked as a security guard at Freeman Health Systems for many years.

Diane Lynn Sansoucie, 57 of Columbus, died June 10, 2021 at her home. Born in St. Louis, Mo. September 24, 1963, Diane was the daughter of Lawrence Woodrow Sansoucie and Patricia Pashia. They preceded her in death.

Richard Thomas “Rick” Moran, 73, of Galena, died at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St Joseph Regional Health Center, Madisonville, Texas after a sudden illness. Born April 11, 1948 in Queens, New York, Rick was the son of Norman and Kathryn (Shanley) Moran.

Debbie Crumrine, 66, of Chetopa, died July 7, 2021, at her home. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 13 at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa.

Earlene Aaron, 83, Columbus

Earlene Aaron went home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2021. Born in Hattiesburg, Miss. in 1937, Earlene was the daughter of James and Evie Dee Crane. She was one of six children, who all preceded her in death.

Patricia Ann Tash, 69, of Crestline, died at 6:30 a.m.Thursday, July 8, 2021 at her home following an illness. Born March 25, 1952 in Greenville, Patricia was the daughter of Sidney and Jewel (Ferguson) Lang.

Gary Duane McDowell, 75, of Oswego, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Mercy Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. following a brief illness. Gary graciously was an organ donor. Born to Leslie and Lena (Gaston) McDowell, Gary was a lifetime resident of Oswego.

Billy Stephenson, 71, Frontenac

Billy Ray Stephenson, 71, of Frontenac, died Monday, July 5, 2021. Born August 16, 1949 in Pittsburg, Billy was the son of Willard Stephenson and Edith Geraldine Tipton Stephenson. Billy worked as a boiler maker and iron worker belonging to Iron Workers Union.
