Robert Dean Fogler, 91, of Columbus died at 8:50 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021 at his home following an illness. Born July 8, 1929 in Neutral, Robert was the son of Samuel Leo and Gertie Mary (Schultz) Fogler. He was a lifetime resident of the Columbus area.

Denise M. Phillips 55, of Columbus died 4:08 a.m. Wednesday June 23, 2021 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. following a car accident June 7. Born April 17, 1966, in Kansas City, Mo., Denise was the daughter of Lyle E. “Rocky” and Patty Jo (Phillips) Sutton.

Lillian Skahan, 87, Columbus

Lillian Fayrene Reynolds McKee Skahan, 87, of Columbus, died June 20, 2021, surrounded by her family. Fayrene was born in Picher, Oklahoma February 23, 1934 to William Wesley Reynolds and Lillian Sidenstricker Reynolds.

Stephanie Richards, Oklahoma City

Stephanie Michelle Richards, 35, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died unexpectedly June 16, 2021. Born January 11, 1986, Stephanie was the daughter of Sheila and Loyd Johnson. She grew up in Cherokee county with her two sisters. She attended Columbus Unified Highschool and later attended a local college.

Jacob Weber, 69, Columbus

Jacob Anthony Weber, 69, of Columbus, died after a courageous battle with cancer Friday, June 18, 2021 at his home. Born October 8, 1951 in Oakley, Jacob was the son of Celestine J and Katherine L (Brungardt) Weber. He graduated in 1969 from Grinnell High School in Grinnell.

Leona Agnes Lindsey, 100 of Oswego, died at 7:54 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Life Care Center, in Wichita, Born December 13, 1920 at Mildred, Leona was the daughter of Henry H Moss Sr. and Georgie Lucille (McBride) Moss. She was a lifetime resident of Oswego.

Judith McCann Morris, Galena

Judith McCann Morris, 69, of Galena, died suddenly Monday morning, June 14, 2021 at her home. Born July 20, 1952 in Joplin, Mo., Judith was the daughter of Darrel and Nadine (Stone) McCann. She was a lifetime resident of Galena. She was a graduate of Galena High School with the class of 1970.

Arthur Pontious, 75, Girard

Arthur “Gene” E. Pontious 75, of Girard, died at 12:52 a.m. Monday June 14, 2021 at the Labette Health Center in Parsons, following an illness. Born July 24, 1945 in South Mound, Gene was the son of Camilla Pontious. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended area schools in Erie.

Yvonne Bresee, 79, Joplin, Mo.

Yvonne Annette “Bonnie” Weese Bresee, 79, Joplin, Mo. died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at her home with family at her side. Born January 15, 1942 in Humboldt, Bonnie was the daughter of Otto V. Weese and Mary Opal (Mapes) Weese. They preceded her in death.
