Steven Alan Esch, 59 of Joplin, Mo., died February 2, 2021 at Mercy Hospital of Northwest Arkansas with his children and family at his side. Born October 19, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo., Steven was the son of Dave and Masolyne (Owens) Esch. He was a kind and loving family man.

Vivian Willadean “Deanie” Case, 85 of Joplin, Mo., died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Spring River Christian Village of Joplin, Mo. Vivian was born in Duenweg, Mo. April 7, 1935 to the union of Clarence Elmer Harper and Vernice Mildred (Gillmore) Harper.

Gregory A. “Greg” Collins, 65, of Oswego, died at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Oswego Health and Rehab in Oswego. Born November 27, 1955 in Oswego, Gregory Alan was the son of Raymond Thomas and Emma Jean (Addis) Collins.

Ella L. Johnston, 71, of Baxter Springs died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Born August 31, 1949 in Afton, Okla., Ella was the daughter of Joseph and Iva (Anderson) Leatherman. She had lived in the Baxter Springs and Treece area for the past 45 years.

Dale Allen Anderson, 81, of Riverton, died peacefully January 28, 2021, from the antagonizing effects of the COVID virus. Dale was the eighth child of 11 children born to Alva and Tiney Anderson. Coming from a large family, his family meant everything to him.

Juliene Shea 90, of West Mineral, formerly of Grove, Okla., died January 29, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo. She was born March 1, 1930 to Edwin and Lucille Williams. Juliene was a member of St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon, where she was formerly an organist.

Phyllis Wilder, 80, Galena

Phyllis Joy Wilder, 80 of Galena, died at her home at 8:53 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021. Phyllis was born in Galena, April 26, 1940 to the union of Gerald F. Tipton and Mildred Ann (Merrill) Tipton. She attended Galena Schools and had been a lifetime resident of Galena.
