Graduations planned throughout County

The Southeast senior class was the first public school to host a graduation in Cherokee County, with their students’ ceremony having been scheduled on May 7 in the gymnasium. Baxter Springs and Galena will hold their graduation ceremonies Saturday and Sunday.

Big Kansas Road Trip showcases Cherokee County attractions

A spotlight was shined on all that Cherokee County has to offer thanks to the Big Kansas Road Trip. The tourism event ran by the Kansas Sampler Foundation saw a mass of new faces get introduced to the southeast Kansas community from May 5 to May 8, including the Hirsch family from Hope.
